Rob Howard is the owner of Online Language Center and founder of EFLtalks - teachers teaching teachers. Having run successful businesses in the US and Brazil, he adds a different focus on the business of Business English. He has taught in companies such as Petrobras, Vale, Odebrecht, PWC, KPMG, CVM, over 50 of the largest and most prestigious law firms and financial institutions in Rio de Janeiro, as well as to university professors at UFRJ, UERJ and FGV. He is a speaker worldwide on Teacher Development, Continuing Professional Development, Online Business Retention, image presentation, President of the BRAZ-TESOL BESIG, a member of the IATEFL BESIG Online team and Visual Arts Circle Online Coordinator and video interviewer. He has authored and coauthored several books for EFL. He was nominated for the 2016 British Council’s ELTon Award for Innovation in Teacher Development.
Karin Heuert Galvão
Karin Heuert Galvão has worked for 17 years as an EFL teacher and for 9 years as the Director of i-Study Interactive Learning, a language school based in São Paulo, Brazil. She holds, among others, the CELTA and IH Certificate in Online Tutoring. She also works as an ELT consultant for schools, helping them find solutions for their EFL programs. She has worked with several multinational companies based in Brazil, helping their employees to develop as speakers of English and assisting them in negotiations. Karin is also a prominent and active member of the Advisory board of EFLtalks and has been working with the Intercultural Language SIG as their Vice-President (Braz-TESOL). She is also the Treasurer at BRAZ-TESOL BESIG. In order to help teachers develop their careers and her own, Karin is always looking for opportunities to teach, learn and share ideas.
Fernando Guarany is a TESOL (Teaching English to speakers of other languages) specialist with over 25 years’ experience in multiple educational roles, including Academic Manager Brazil (British Council), Academic Coordinator (Cultura Inglesa) and Teachers' Association Leader (BRAZ-TESOL). As an independent consultant, Guarany shares his expertise with various organisations and individuals and supports them in achieving their goals through online and face-to-face professional teacher development programmes. He is also a specialist in course design and making linguistic concepts more interesting and accessible to educators. Guarany is a frequent speaker at national and international conferences, a member of the international ELT Creativity Group and the National Secretary for BRAZ-TESOL, the largest English teachers’ association in Brazil.
Henrick Oprea has been working in Education for since 1997. Since then, he has worked as a teacher-trainer, Director of Studies, university professor at both undergraduate and post-graduate levels, college counselor, project coordinator for high school students, and high school principal. His main focus is on education and teacher education. In this regard, he's been presenting workshops and giving talks in Brazil and other countries, both online and in person. With a keen interest in technology and its applications in education. he is a Google Certified educator constantly looking for ways in which technology can support methodology in the classroom. He is currently the president of BRAZ-TESOL, the largest association for teachers of English in Brazil working alongside outstanding professionals from the field of ELT in Brazil to foster better training and opportunities for other English teachers.
